Description

Purpose of the position

Weʼre looking for an experienced Full Stack Senior Software Engineer for a new team in our Advertiser tribe to accelerate the delivery of our brand new Affiliate Marketing platform.

You

Working within one of our agile Engineering teams, you will report to an Engineering Manager. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, UX, and product managers to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and well-tested software for our award-winning marketing platform.

You are responsible for writing clean, secure and well-tested code, follow best-practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelines. Your code is open by default and easy for others to reuse. You are part of a team and with the team extend, maintain and operate assigned parts of our platform.

As one of the most senior members of the team, you coach and mentor more junior colleagues, participate in knowledge-sharing activities both within your team and the wider Engineering practice.

You have a good understanding of the user needs within your service and work with the product manager and other team members to translate these into technical solutions. You work through the entire lifecycle of a service or product, from understanding requirements, translating these into architectural diagrams, to development to deployment, then support and maintenance. You show an understanding for deadlines, find pragmatic solutions and are proactive in raising potential risks.

You will help the team in solving the challenges that arise as our business grows and develops; working together to ensure the service continues to meet the needs of our business and its customers.

The Team

This role is within Team Argonauts in our Advertiser Tribe, part of the Growth Domain. This team are dedicated to serve our Advertisers by building the high value features that they need in our new Affiliate Marketing platform.

Team Argonauts is a brand new team - a mix between new hires and new joiners from other teams. This gives you the opportunity to do more than just code and create great software. Youʼll be able to support your new colleagues, influence ways of working and best practices, and establish the culture in this new team.

Along with access to the OʼReilly learning platform, hackathons, and cross-team initiatives, will provide plenty of opportunities to learn and gain experience from people in the many other teams across the engineering organisation at Awin.

Skills & Expertise

Soft Skills

The experience in the technologies and the expertise listed below are as important to us as the soft skills that you have. We are interested in people who are open, enthusiastic, and interested in positively contributing to the culture of the team. We are passionate about continuous improvement, and are seeking people who can demonstrate a growth mindset and how they have learnt from mistakes. We value everyoneʼs opinion and experience as much as we value delivering and team cohesion, and we consider a challenge and commit mindset to be crucial to balance these.
