Description

Overview

We are looking for a Technology Leader with a deep understanding of Radio Frequency Systems to join our team. Our company has a rich history in satellite and cellular communications, and we are now expanding our capabilities to include innovative new communications systems in the fields of Low Earth Orbit Satellites and High-Altitude Platform Systems. We want you to be part of this journey. Your will work with business developers to understand technology trends and market opportunities. You will also inspire your colleagues to develop technology breakthroughs that add real value for our customers.

What we can offer

You’re likely to have far more variety in your work here than in your current role: Cambridge Consultants have a wide range of clients across wireless, telecoms, audio, and semiconductor – from blue chips to start-ups. Some are looking to optimise their existing technologies, while others come with a vision to develop something entirely new and unexpected. We will encourage you to keep up with advances in technology and changes in the market, and to propose and investigate novel technologies that could enable new products for our current and future clients.

You won’t be working alone to reach these goals. We have a friendly and supportive culture and a passion for solving technical challenges.

Examples of projects we have worked on in the past are:

The world’s largest airborne phased-array antenna system

High-bandwidth internet connectivity for US business air-travel

Transparent antennas for 5G radio systems

The world’s highest-density 4G radio system for a fleet of warehouse robots

What you can bring

As a Technology Leader, you will have a proven track record of leadership and innovation in the field of RF systems and wireless communication. You will be enthusiastic about exploring new technologies and their potential benefits to our clients. You will be a confident communicator, able to articulate your ideas and inspire others to develop theirs.

You will work closely with business developers to understand market trends and clients’ needs. You will also take a lead role in the creation and development of new ground-breaking wireless products, from initial client discussion and problem definition through to product specification and successful delivery.

Aspiring candidates will have some of the following:

  • Extensive experience of specifying and designing RF systems and products
  • Knowledge of 3GPP communications standards
  • Antenna specification and design
  • Understanding of Digital Signal Processing and its applications in RF
  • A passion for understanding and developing new technologies
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring more junior engineers

You understand that any false statement, misleading information, or material omission may render you liable to disqualification from the recruitment process, withdrawal of any offer of employment, or dismissal without notice if discovered following appointment.
