'Engine' is the remote gaming server behind one of the world's largest online casino platforms, enabling game developers from around the world to integrate, launch and scale their games. Join our engineering team to build the backend platform, infrastructure and services powering thousands of games, billions of bets, and the future of online gaming.
In just 18 months, we've grown to over 2,000 games, doubled in size this year alone, and continue expanding into new markets around the world. Our engineering team remains lean, giving every engineer real ownership and the opportunity to make decisions that directly shape the platform.

AI is becoming a core part of how we build software. We're investing in AI-assisted development, evolving our Rust codebase and engineering standards so engineers can move faster, automate repetitive work, and focus on architecture, performance and product innovation.
We're looking for engineers who embrace modern tooling and see AI as a force multiplier, not a replacement for strong engineering fundamentals.
What you'll do
This is a backend first role with exposure across Platform, DevOps and Data Engineering.
- Build and scale backend services using Go and Rust.
- Own production systems from design through to deployment.
- Build and optimise scalable cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Contribute to data platforms powered by ClickHouse.
- Help evolve our architecture as we continue to scale globally.
- High ownership and autonomy from day one.
- Work across backend, infrastructure and data engineering.
- Build technology operating at significant global scale.
What we're looking for
You'll thrive here if you:
- Proven experience designing and building scalable backend systems, distributed architectures, and microservices.
- Enjoy owning systems end-to-end.
- Are comfortable balancing feature delivery with operational excellence.
- Have exposure to cloud infrastructure or DevOps.
- Love solving complex technical problems at scale.
