[About the role]
We are looking for a Data Platform Product Manager to lead the product direction, roadmap and adoption of the new SWDA Data Platform. This role sits at the intersection of business, data and technology. You will work with business divisions, data stewards, technology teams, GovTech and implementation partners to ensure that the platform delivers practical data capabilities that support SWDA’s data, analytics and AI ambitions. In simple terms, you will own the “why, what and priority” of the platform — what capabilities should be built, which business needs should be prioritised, and how the platform should deliver measurable value to users.
[What you will be working on]
- Develop and maintain the SWDA Data Platform product vision, strategy, roadmap and release priorities.
- Engage business divisions, data stewards, data champions and technology teams to understand needs and translate them into implementable platform requirements.
- Prioritise the product backlog, balancing business value, urgency, technical feasibility, delivery capacity and migration dependencies.
- Lead platform delivery governance, including release planning, sprint / milestone reviews, risk and dependency tracking, and management reporting.
- Coordinate onboarding of priority datasets, applications and user groups onto the platform.
- Drive platform adoption, collect user feedback, monitor usage and benefits indicators, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain product documentation, release communications, service catalogue inputs and user-facing guidance.
- Support post-implementation stabilisation and contribute to the review of the longer-term platform operating model.
[What we are looking for]
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Digital Product Management or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in product management, digital product delivery, enterprise platforms, data platforms or technology transformation.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into product roadmaps, prioritised backlogs and delivery plans.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to explain trade-offs clearly to both business and technical audiences.
- Good understanding of enterprise data platforms, data governance, analytics, cloud platforms or modern software delivery concepts.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams comprising business stakeholders, architects, engineers, data teams and vendors.
- Strong planning, prioritisation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum or scaled delivery methods.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, data catalogues, metadata management, data products or AI-enabling platforms.
- Experience preparing management updates, steering committee materials or benefits realisation reports.
