About The Role:
Lead the day-to-day operation of your shift, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of customer orders. Drive operational performance through strong leadership, accountability, continuous improvement, and the development of engaged, high-performing teams.
What You Will Be Doing:
Operational Leadership
- Lead shift operations to achieve productivity, quality, safety, and service targets.
- Execute production plans while ensuring compliance with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards.
- Monitor performance, resolve operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance customer outcomes.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and Production Operatives to build capability and succession.
- Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, provide regular feedback, and manage performance.
- Promote accountability, engagement, recognition, inclusion, and colleague wellbeing.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee relations in partnership with HR.
Ownership & Decision Making
- Take ownership of shift performance and operational challenges.
- Make timely, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead by example with a hands-on approach and empower teams to solve problems and improve processes.
Health, Safety & Quality
- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, food safety, and quality standards.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and investigations, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant workplace.
Continuous Improvement
- Apply Lean and continuous improvement principles to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Use performance data to identify opportunities and support implementation of new processes and initiatives.
Who You Are:
Essential
- Experienced people leader in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, fulfilment, logistics, or FMCG environment.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Results-driven, with experience managing KPIs and driving operational performance.
- Solid understanding of health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.
Advantageous:
- Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma.
- Relevant Food Safety or Health & Safety qualifications.

Working Schedule: Rotating days and nights every 3 months, Wednesday to Saturday - 7:00 - 7:00
