This is one of those unicorn nursing jobs—calm days, meaningful impact, and a schedule that works with your life, not against it. We’re hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Private Duty Nursing case in a school setting—supporting one student during the school day. Calm environment, consistent routine, and a schedule that lets you actually have a life outside of work.
Provide individualized care to patients with complex medical needs (including trach/vent) across all ages, while supporting families and ensuring safe, high-quality care.
- 1:1 care (no juggling patients)
- School hours = nights, weekends, and holidays off Mon-Fri 9:30a-4pm
- Predictable schedule
- Supportive school team + responsive agency
🩺 What You’ll Do
Provide individualized care to patients with complex medical needs (including trach/vent) across all ages, while supporting families and ensuring safe, high-quality care. Been a while or next worked with trach/vent but want to learn? We GOT YOU! This is a place where we support skill growth.
- Provide nursing care for one student during the school day
- Follow an individualized care plan
- Collaborate with school staff as needed
- Be a steady, trusted presence for your student

Position Requirements:

Current LPN or RN license in North Carolina or a compact state

Current CPR certification (in-person only)

TB skin test completed within the past 12 months
