This is a Market Strategy role within Marketing. The Senior Advisor partners closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to translate provider / IDN market needs into clear strategy, messaging, Sales enablement, and market-facing programs.

The ideal candidate is a healthcare operational leader with deep understanding of how large IDNs and health systems operate who has or has had direct expertise in provider operations, health system strategy, IDN decision-making, enterprise priorities, and the operational realities that shape technology adoption.

InterSystems has been a leader in data management, interoperability, and digital health since its inception. Today, more than 1 billion health records worldwide are managed using InterSystems technology, including HealthShare, InterSystems IRIS for Health, InterSystems IntelliCare, and TrakCare.

This new role will focus initially on North America, with the potential for limited international work.

Key Responsibilities

Market strategy and positioning

  • Serve as the segment expert for North American IDNs, health systems, and provider delivery organizations within Market Strategy.
  • Define and maintain the provider / IDN positioning, messaging, and narrative in partnership with Product Marketing and Product Management.
  • Provide continuous market analysis on IDN priorities, including operational performance, access, capacity, workflow burden, care coordination, interoperability, data platforms, AI readiness, modernization, cost pressure, and quality improvement.
  • Translate provider-market insights into practical guidance for go-to-market strategy, Product direction, Sales enablement, and executive-level messaging.
  • Help InterSystems identify where it has a credible and differentiated role in supporting large provider organizations.

Provider operations and IDN market expertise

  • Bring deep understanding of how large provider organizations operate, make decisions, fund initiatives, adopt technology, and measure value.
  • Advise internal teams on IDN operating models, executive priorities, buyer personas, governance structures, procurement dynamics, and implementation realities.
  • Connect provider operational pressures to technology-enabled opportunities, including data strategy, interoperability, analytics, workflow integration, care coordination, enterprise modernization, and AI readiness.
  • Help InterSystems understand what provider executives need, what problems they are trying to solve, and what proof points are required to create credibility.

Industry engagement and market influence

  • Develop and sustain senior relationships with key provider / IDN leaders and influential industry stakeholders, including COOs, CIOs, CMIOs, CDOs, chief transformation officers, digital leaders, operational leaders, and innovation executives.
  • Build InterSystems’ provider / IDN market credibility through conference presence, webinars, speaking, writing, media engagement, executive forums, and strategic participation in high-impact industry venues.
  • Identify where InterSystems should show up, what conversations we should lead, and which relationships or events matter most for provider-market credibility.
  • Represent or coordinate representation for InterSystems in relevant industry forums and communities.

Analyst engagement and relationships

  • Execute provider-segment analyst engagement in partnership with Marketing and Product leaders, including analyst briefings, inquiry preparation, narrative alignment, and follow-up.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key analysts covering provider IT modernization, interoperability, data platforms, digital health, AI readiness, and enterprise healthcare technology.
  • Ensure InterSystems’ provider narrative is consistently understood, differentiated, and accurately reflected.

Cross-functional internal leadership

  • Provide strategic SME leadership to Product, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and leadership teams on provider-market dynamics, IDN priorities, buyer personas, and competitive context.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to translate positioning into usable field assets, including talk tracks, discovery questions, objection handling, proof points, and executive-level messaging.
  • Create feedback loops from the field, customers, prospects, and industry engagement into Product and Marketing strategy.
  • Help Product and Product Marketing connect provider-market needs to InterSystems capabilities, roadmap considerations, use cases, and value propositions.

Customer and partner advocacy

  • Identify and develop customer stories, references, proof points, and speaking opportunities, especially within IDNs, large health systems, and complex provider organizations.
  • Support strategic customer and prospect conversations where provider operational expertise is needed.
  • Support partner alignment where provider / IDN ecosystem relationships are required.
  • Help translate customer and partner insights into actionable recommendations for Product, Sales, Marketing, and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant healthcare experience, including significant experience working within large provider organizations, IDNs, health systems, or complex delivery networks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in provider / IDN operations, enterprise priorities, buying dynamics, decision-making structures, and technology adoption.
  • Strong understanding of the operational, financial, workforce, workflow, quality, access, capacity, and modernization pressures facing large health systems.
  • Experience engaging senior provider executives, such as CIOs, COOs, CMIOs, CDOs, chief transformation officers, digital leaders, enterprise operations leaders, or clinical operations leaders.
