Role
As a Mobile Manipulation Engineer, you will be designing, developing and deploying cutting-edge robotic automation solutions using mobile manipulation platforms. You will be involved in designing and setting up industrial environments suitable for large scale robotic automation in simulation, in hardware labs, and in production environments. You will also be designing, implementing and extending next generation Open-RMF with mobile manipulation capabilities.
How your work moves the mission forward
- Examine challenging industrial applications and environments to identify automation solutions using mobile manipulation.
- Provide and maintain an integration reference for mobile manipulation operations for the Open-RMF open source community.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate mobile manipulators into smart production and industrial applications.
Skills you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with modern programming practices in C++ and Python.
- Experience programming and working with industrial manipulators and mobile robots, in hardware and simulation.
- Familiarity with whole body motion planning.
- Demonstrable understanding of motion planning in the field of manipulation and mobile robotics.
Skills that will differentiate your candidacy
- Experience with Open-RMF, MoveIt2, and/or Nav2.
- Expertise in the Rust programming language.
- Hands-on experience with industrial mobile manipulators.
- Deep understanding of robotic manipulation kinematics, dynamics, and motion planning.
- Prior experience deploying automated robotics solutions in a production industrial environment.
