THE OPPORTUNITY
CONTEXT:
Our IT team is dedicated to managing the IT Infrastructure, Cloud computing needs and the Cloud infrastructure at Ivalua. The team is composed of over 80 global team members mainly based in the USA, France and India.
ROLE:
Reporting to the Global IT Director, you will act as the technical lead for Infrastructure activities. You will cover a large geographical scope with the APAC region (with datacenters hosted in Australia & Singapore) but also assist the US & EMEA teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US
- Part of the APAC IT team and member of the Global Infrastructure team (AMER, APAC, EMEA), with a close relationship with EMEA & AMER infrastructure team leads
- Collaborate and contribute to technical infrastructure projects
- Key contributor for the Build of APAC global infrastructure & clients infrastructure setup
- Responsible for the quality of the datacenter operations for APAC region: operations preparation, communication, execution
- Ensuring that we meet our SLA (availability & performance) and that vulnerability patching, incident closure, backups, logging, DRP and other IT operations are well managed
- Monitor infrastructure and applications, raise and follow up alerts with internal teams
- Analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve servers, software, network and other potential IT build, deployment issues
- Assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise with ability to prioritize
- Communicate and interact effectively with internal stakeholders and team members about the issues being troubleshot
- Support Project and Application Maintenance teams on our Commercial Cloud, and ITAR Platforms as functional & part time team member of APAC Client Ops team
- Create proper documentation, diagrams and other detailed instructions and procedures qualifications
- Enforce security protocols, and ensure system and network integrity
- Develop/Suggest automation workflows improvements for repetitive and manual tasks
- Ensure continuity between AMER closure and EMEA opening, and act as part of our follow the sun organization
YOUR PROFILE
If you have the experience and strengths below this role could be for you:
Mastery:
- Administration of Windows & Linux servers, Public Cloud computing (Azure), OS & software patching
- Azure services including Storage, Keyvault, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, and Network Security Groups, Azure Backup
- Hardware management including DELL PowerEdge servers
- Datacenter infrastructure management
- Network fundamentals and advanced networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Routing, Firewall, WAN)
Proficient:
- Virtualization (Hyper-V)
- Scripting (Powershell)
- Encryption protocols
- HSM
- Some exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Semaphore, etc.)
- Kubernetes (kubectl & automation)
Basic knowledge:
- Web Server (IIS,Kestrel)
- Database (MSSQL)
- Application performance monitoring (APM)
Required experience:
At least 7 years proven experience as System engineer with comprehensive background of modern datacenter infrastructure (Azure Cloud, Windows & Linux systems, Networking, Web application & database support, security & vulnerability management exposure, etc.)
