Job Description:

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Social Worker for its client’s Recruitment & Assessment Team in Blackpool.
Join our client’s Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool service within the Recruitment & Assessment Team, where you will play a vital role in supporting the recruitment of adopters and guiding them through the adoption process. • Undertake assessments of prospective adopters and prepare detailed reports.
  • Support adopters and their families through matching and achieving adoption orders.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Complete complex assessments of adoptive applicants and present well-written Prospective Adopter Reports to the Adoption Panel.
  • Plan and deliver preparation and training sessions for adoptive applicants.
  • Support applicants through matching and placement processes.
  • Participate in planning, facilitating, and running training events.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a committed team, contributing to service development.
  • Attend team meetings, service meetings, and working groups as required.
  • Deliver training for staff and adoptive applicants.
  • Participate in regional and national adoption events.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all statutory obligations and agency procedures.
  • Liaise with professionals in statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure best outcomes for children and families.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate.
  • Opportunity to work in a specialist adoption team.
  • Flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

  • At least three years’ experience in a permanent post within a local authority.
  • Must not have held a permanent or fixed-term position within the last 12 weeks.
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
  • Ability to travel across Lancashire, Blackpool, and occasionally out of county.
  • Experience completing assessments similar to Prospective Adopter Reports (adoption experience preferred but not essential).

Reasonable Adjustments:

If you consider yourself to have a disability or require any reasonable adjustment during the recruitment process or within the workplace, please highlight this at the earliest opportunity by contacting our team.
