Logistics Coordinator - 2ND SHIFT

Primary Responsibility:
Coordinates the movement of materials and finished products throughout the facility to support production and ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. Serves as a key communication link between Production, Sales/Customer Service, Shipping, Receiving, and other departments to support efficient material flow and on-time delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily logistics activities to support production requirements and customer delivery commitments.
- Coordinate shipments and deliveries with carriers, customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, and logistics documentation.
- Monitor shipment status and communicate delays or issues to the appropriate departments.
- Moves product to work station, shipping or staging by manually lifting and carrying and/or using conveyors, carts and hoists.
- Packages products based on type, work instructions and customer instructions.
- Ships product using appropriate computer station.
- Prepares skids for truck shipments.
- Load local courier vehicles and trucks by manually lifting or using fork lift when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform 6S on a daily basis.
- Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must be detail oriented and have a high concern for accuracy.
- Must have strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with Production, Sales/Customer Service, Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, and other departments.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, transportation, and logistics processes preferred.
- Must have good attendance.
- Must have good computer skills and familiarity with online shipping platforms
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, transportation, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience with ERP, inventory, shipping, or transportation management systems preferred.
- Two or more years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently.
- Able to stand and walk while working for extended periods.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
