Optiver is a global market maker founded in Amsterdam, with offices in London, Chicago, Austin, New York, Sydney, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei and Mumbai. By providing liquidity on multiple exchanges across the world in various financial instruments we participate in the safeguarding of healthy and efficient markets. Since its establishment in 2012, our Shanghai office is a rapidly growing participant in the Chinese markets, trading exchange-listed futures, options and equities in China mainland. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our Network operations Engineers are directly responsible for the infrastructure underpinning all of Optiver's trading and non-trading activity in general, including office networks and a complex WAN environment. We are providing a reliable, fast and well supported network and Unix platform to run our core business on, this requires a good understanding of not only the technical network problem but also the broader business problem being solved. This team is successful when they are collaborating and solving complex problems with simple solutions and are constantly making optimizations in reliability, capacity, scalability and latency. Your responsibilities will include:

Support end-to-end infrastructure deployments in Asia Pacific data centers including but not limited to network and security platforms

Drive research, innovation, and implementation of infrastructure capacity and reliability optimizations in our Infrastructure environment
- Build, manage and support our complex international LAN/WAN & security environment using modern tooling in an IaC (Infrastructure as Code) environment

Collaborate with developers, researchers and our hardware engineers on projects that require a stable and scalable platform to operate on

Automate, monitor, and benchmark our various networks and systems
WHO YOU ARE
-
10+ years of working experience as a senior network engineer or architect with proven on-box experience, designing, implementing and troubleshooting complex LANs and WANs.
-
Experience designing, implementing and supporting Campus LAN networks, ideally on Arista and Cisco products
- Experience in managing network systems using Infrastructure as code (IaC) methodology

Experience working in a multi zone, multi tier firewall architecture across APAC
-
Experience designing, implementing and supporting DC environments.

Experience administrating Unix systems
-
Experience in monitoring and managing diverse international WAN networks
