Job Summary

The Mental Health Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and/or young adults experiencing mental and behavioral health challenges. This position works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary clinical team to support clients throughout a structured treatment episode and facilitate successful transitions into aftercare.

Opportunities are available across our programs in Coeur d’Alene, Hayden, and Athol, Idaho.

We welcome clinicians who are fully licensed, close to completing independent clinical licensure requirements, or currently licensed in another state and interested in transferring their license to Idaho.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and other clinical team members to provide coordinated care.
Participate in treatment-team meetings to review client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with Idaho licensing regulations, organizational policies, and ethical standards.
Provide crisis intervention and clinical support when necessary.
Deliver psychoeducation to clients and families to encourage engagement and continuity of care.
Communicate regularly with clients, families, and members of the treatment team regarding clinical progress.
Support clients in transitioning into appropriate aftercare services.
Ensure all clinical services align with current best practices and Idaho state requirements.
Contribute to a supportive, collaborative, and client-centered treatment environment.
Perform other clinically appropriate duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
Fully licensed or close to obtaining independent clinical licensure as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Pre-licensed clinicians actively completing their clinical hours as an LMSW, LPC, LMFTA, LAMFT, or another applicable Idaho credential are encouraged to apply.
Clinicians licensed in another state who are eligible to transfer their license to Idaho are also encouraged to apply.
Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred, particularly in mental health, behavioral health, and/or substance-use treatment.
Experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families strongly preferred.
Experience with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and/or EMDR preferred.
Strong clinical judgment and crisis-intervention skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary, team-oriented treatment environment.
Ability to satisfy all applicable Idaho licensing, credentialing, background-check, and pre-employment requirements.

Compensation and Additional Support

Annual compensation of $85,000–$100,000, based on licensure status, clinical experience, and qualifications.

Additional support for clinicians who are close to completing independent licensure requirements.
