Podean is a leading marketplace agency helping brands accelerate growth across Amazon, Walmart, Target, TikTok Shop, and other digital commerce platforms. We combine strategic expertise, data-driven insights, and creative innovation to deliver measurable business outcomes for our clients.

We're hiring a Business Development Associate to build Podean's new business pipeline. You'll prospect new brand relationships, work inbound leads from marketing and referrals, qualify opportunities against our ideal client profile, support the proposal process as deals move toward close, help fill our RFPs and think through the best ways to position Podean to our potential partners.

This is a foundational role on our BD team and an important piece of the overall growth and success of Podean.

What You’ll Do

Outbound & Pipeline Generation

Research and prioritize target brands, and identify the right decision-maker to reach
Run outbound outreach across email, LinkedIn to open conversations with prospective clients
Build a consistent outbound cadence and keep activity current in HubSpot

Inbound & Qualification

Own first response on inbound leads from marketing, referrals, and the website
Qualify prospects against Podean's ideal client profile before advancing them
Schedule and help run introductory calls, gathering what senior BD needs to scope the opportunity

Proposal & Sales Support

Pull together capabilities decks, case studies, and account research for proposals, working alongside senior BD and enablement
Draft first-pass proposal content and one-pagers for senior BD to refine and finalize
Keep deal stages, notes, and next steps current in HubSpot

Reporting & Collaboration

Report weekly on outreach volume, meetings booked, and pipeline movement
Work with Marketing to sharpen targeting and messaging based on what's converting
Flag prospect feedback and market trends back to BD leadership

What We’re Looking For

2–4 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing work
Comfortable with high-volume outreach and handling rejection without losing momentum
Strong written and verbal communicator, able to represent Podean to a marketing director or CMO
Organized and detail-oriented, with good CRM hygiene and follow-through
Familiar with Amazon, whether from a prior Amazon marketplace agency, past experience as an Amazon seller, or hands-on use of Seller Central or Vendor Central
HubSpot experience a plus, not required
