Corinth Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Animal Care Associate to join our team! Our Care team is dedicated to the care and comfort of our patients while providing critical support to the veterinary team.  

In this role, you will focus on patient husbandry and care as well as general housekeeping duties throughout the hospital. You will provide meals and walks to boarding patients, administer medication, and monitor for any medical or behavioral concerns while providing detailed documentation about your observations. You will ensure kennels, common spaces and treatment areas are sanitized and well stocked with supplies.   

This position is ideal for those who are self-driven, detail-oriented, enjoy cleaning and organization, and are interested in growing professionally in the field of veterinary medicine.

 

 

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Compensation: $15-$17 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a full-time position, with the following schedule
    • Regular weekday shifts
    • One hour in the morning and evening every other Saturday & Sunday

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive care to boarding dogs and cats
  • Feed, walk, and monitor pets for health and behavior changes
  • Clean kennels and hospital areas as needed
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
  • Work independently and responsibly

Minimum Qualifications & Skillset:

  • 1+ years of experience as a veterinary kennel assistant / kennel technician preferred
    • Will consider related experience within animal care such as boarding / doggy daycare attendant, FFA or 4H background
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Desire for knowledge & growth in the veterinary field
  • Willing to work holidays and weekends
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills
