About Rocket Now
Rocket Now is a food delivery service with no delivery or service fees. Consumers can enjoy a wide variety of cuisines, from Japanese and Western food to healthy options, as well as desserts and drinks, quickly and affordably. The service is currently available mainly in Hokkaido, Tohoku (Sendai), Kanto (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba), Chubu (Aichi,Shizuoka), Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo), Hiroshima, and Kyushu (Fukuoka). Rocket Now won the Excellence Award in the Shopping Category at the Best App Awards 2025. Furthermore, it has achieved the No. 1 ranking in the Food Delivery App category for nine consecutive months on both the iOS and Android app stores (*1), and the app continues to grow, surpassing 5 million downloads in just 15 months since its launch (*2). *1 Based on integrated iOS and Android data from July 2025 to March 2026. *2 As of January 14, 2025, service release date (Source: Global Market Intelligence: Sensor Tower)

CP One Japan operates the "Rocket Now" brand food delivery service in Japan, leveraging Coupang's technological capabilities and innovative logistics solutions to provide fast, reliable, and customer-oriented food delivery services to Japanese consumers.
Role Overview
The team is for Merchant Operation plays a core role in the merchant growth of Rocket Now and this position is a highly analytical, strategy-adjacent position designed to bridge the gap between complex data and frontline execution.
You will be responsible for building the analytical frameworks that allow the team to acquire new merchants, support to operate stores without any operational defects, to have visibility platform’s utilization. Beyond external merchants’ insights, you will own the internal performance narrative, designing the dashboards and reporting structures that track target attainment and store-level health for senior leadership.
What You Will Do
- Account Performance & Goal Tracking
- Operational Health: Monitor store-level operational metrics (e.g., online rate, prep times, cancellation rates) to ensure merchants are operating as we believe and maintaining a high-quality customer experience.
- QBR/MBR/WBR Frameworks: Design the data structures for Quarterly, Weekly, and Monthly Business Reviews, ensuring the team provides high-value, actionable insights to brand executives rather than raw data.
- Performance Accountability: Act as the "source of truth" for account health, identifying which stores are underperforming against internal goals and proposing data-backed interventions.
- Reporting, Dashboarding & Scalable Solutions
- Executive Visibility: Design and maintain automated dashboards that track performance target attainment, pipeline health, and any growth for presentation to senior leadership.
- From Insight to Tool: Identify recurring data needs from the account management team and build scalable, repeatable solutions (e.g., automated slide generators or performance calculators) in G-Suite and Microsoft Office.
- SQL-Driven Analysis: Independently query large-scale databases to answer bespoke business questions and validate new growth hypotheses.
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Execution
- Work as a thought partner to Account Management leadership, pressure-testing targets and providing analytical rigor to the territory planning process.
- Support alignment across teams by providing a shared analytical language for how we measure "success" for both the partner and the business.
Basic Qualifications
- Analytical Mindset: Significant experience in strategy, business intelligence, or data-driven analyst roles. You must be comfortable working independently with large, complex datasets.
- Technical Skillset: Strong proficiency in SQL is mandatory. You can write your own queries to extract insights without relying on pre-built reports.
- Visualization: Advanced skills in Spreadsheets (Excel/Sheets) and Slides (PPT/Slides). Experience building automated dashboards in tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar BI platforms is preferred.
- Metric Design: Experience designing KPIs and measurement frameworks for complex, multi-variable business problems.
- Business level English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in marketplaces, e-commerce, or food delivery.
- Proven experience turning raw data into compelling executive-level narratives.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities evolve quickly.
- Business level Japanese
