Description

Your Impact

The Senior Product Designer at DISCO takes a leadership role in elevating our products to the next level. You'll bring clarity to complex product challenges, shape thoughtful end-to-end experiences, and raise the quality bar across multiple product areas. You'll help define AI-empowered experiences that support better user decisions, strengthen trust, and improve the overall product experience. By leading design initiatives, mentoring team members, and conducting advanced user research, you'll drive actionable outcomes that directly impact our users and the product's success.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct in-depth user research to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors, and actively communicate those learnings across the team
  • Leverage research insights to inform and validate design decisions, ensuring products truly resonate with users
  • Create high-quality wireframes, low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design vision
  • Stay on top of the latest industry trends, technologies, and design patterns
  • Maintain a high bar for quality, usability, and attention to edge cases
  • Provide design leadership and guidance to junior team members to ensure design excellence across projects
  • Lead complex design projects from concept to delivery
  • Drive a culture of constant improvement and learning within the design team
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on design strategy and vision
  • Bring structure to ambiguous problems, frame tradeoffs clearly, and champion a user-first approach
  • Anticipate how design decisions impact related workflows, teams, and product areas
  • Contribute to patterns, shared practices, and design consistency that improve efficiency and coherence across the product
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design AI-empowered workflows and product experiences that help users take action, interpret system output, and stay in control
  • Define thoughtful patterns for trust, transparency, and human oversight where intelligent capabilities are introduced

Who You Are

  • 5-7+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of delivering successful user-centered design solutions
  • Proficiency in Figma and complementary design tools (prototyping, wireframing, and collaboration platforms)
  • Experienced working in a fast-paced, agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of design principles, user-centered design methodologies, and information architecture
  • Excellent visual design skills, with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout
  • Strong ability to communicate and present design concepts, rationale, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and team members
  • Able to navigate ambiguity, frame complex workflows, and connect feature-level decisions to broader product and platform patterns
  • Familiar with using AI in the design workflow to support ideation, synthesis, prototyping, content generation, and exploration
  • Good judgment about when AI can accelerate the design process and when deeper human evaluation, refinement, or validation is needed
  • Experience with design systems and the ability to create and maintain design libraries
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At DISCO, we believe AI is a core enabler of how work gets done. All employees are expected to proactively adopt and responsibly use AI tools to drive efficiency, improve outcomes, and continuously evolve how they operate in their role

Even Better If You Have…

  • Experience designing for complex, enterprise-level B2B or B2C applications
  • Experience designing AI-empowered product experiences or products that incorporate machine learning, intelligent assistance, or advanced automation
  • Understanding of trust, transparency, and human-centered interaction patterns in AI-enabled product experiences
