Assistant Head Housekeeper - Soho House Istanbul

We are looking for an "Assistant Head Housekeeper" to join our team.
Responsibilities;
- Assist the Head Housekeeper in managing the daily operations of the Housekeeping department.
- Supervise and support the Housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate daily room assignments, cleaning schedules and operational priorities.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas to ensure company standards are maintained.
- Ensure room status information is communicated accurately and efficiently to the Front Office team.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, guest amenities, cleaning materials and uniforms, and support stock control and ordering processes.
- Coordinate with the Engineering team regarding maintenance issues and follow up on required repairs.
- Support the preparation of staff schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels according to operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with Housekeeping policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), hygiene and health and safety standards.
- Assist with the training, development and performance follow-up of Housekeeping team members.
- Handle guest requests and feedback professionally and support the resolution of Housekeeping-related issues.
- Support the Head Housekeeper in controlling departmental expenses and maintaining efficient use of resources.
- Take responsibility for Housekeeping operations in the absence of the Head Housekeeper when required.
Qualifications;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the same or a similar Assistant Head Housekeeper position is required.
- Good command of written and spoken English is required.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness and service standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards and inventory control.
- Guest-oriented, proactive and solution-focused.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
