Job Title: Compliance Officer
Location: Cape Town
Role Overview
- Responsible for ensuring candidates meet all compliance, regulatory and contractual requirements before being placed with clients.
- Supports the Senior Compliance Officer with day-to-day compliance activities and escalates issues when required.
- Acts as a key point of contact between candidates, recruiters, external organisations and the Brand Sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify professional registrations, eligibility to work and candidate compliance requirements.
- Manage candidate documentation, background checks, fitness-to-work requirements and mandatory training.
- Ensure appropriate professional indemnity cover is in place.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and compliance information on the CRM/ATS.
- Keep databases and documentation up to date and ensure all compliance activities are completed within agreed deadlines.
- Record all candidate and stakeholder communications accurately.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports within agreed timeframes.
- Identify, resolve and escalate compliance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with the Sales and Recruitment teams to support candidate placements.
- Assist with additional compliance-related tasks and support business objectives.
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in healthcare recruitment compliance.
- Experience working with CRM/ATS systems, ideally VDQ, Eclipse and/or Now We Comply.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and Adobe.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Confident problem solver who can work independently and use initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- Reliable, motivated, focused and goal-oriented.
- Strong team player with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.

A highly organised and detail-focused healthcare recruitment compliance professional who understands regulatory requirements, is comfortable working to tight deadlines, maintains accurate records and can confidently manage candidate compliance from documentation through to placement.
